During the initial consultation we get to know one another. We talk with you in your home or office for up to an hour to get a better understanding of what your needs are. If both parties are agreeable, we enter into a letter of agreement. This document defines the scope of work and the role and responsibilities of the designer.
This analysis allows us to come up with a program for your needs, which we shall present to you for approval before proceeding. utilizing this program, we’ll begin to work out the design concepts. We'll prepare a visual presentation, in loose format, including floor plans, color schemes, sketches and preliminary selections.
Based on your feedback on this presentation, we begin to modify and develop the concept. We shall prepare plans, elevations, color/ finish/fabric/material formats and furniture selections in greater detail. We refine other sketches, drawings or materials to communicate specific design solutions. We shall also prepare budget estimates for the work to be done.
Once you have approved our development of the design concept and we have determined an overall budget we will complete finalized plans, schedules, furniture, lighting, finish and fabric selections and all other specifications necessary to implement the project. should working drawings be required for interior construction and/or millwork we will provide them as part of this phase. At this time, we will also submit more extensive budgets for your approval.
